These beautiful golden pins are a Greek Orthadox filaxto amulet made in the beautiful church of Panagia Pantanassa in Monastirki, Athens.
A filaxto is worn to ward off evil. Usually worn on the child or put near the child's bed or stroller. Not only are they blessed items but they are also worn to remind a person of their Orthodox Faith.
